Death of US actress Hayden Panettiere ruled accidental, ending local police probe
Police in South Carolina have closed their investigation into the death of actress Hayden Panettiere, ruling it accidental more than two months after she was found unresponsive aged thirty-six.

Police in South Carolina have closed their investigation into the death of actress Hayden Panettiere, ruling it accidental.
The Heroes and Nashville star was found unresponsive at a home in Greenville on the sixteenth of August, aged thirty-six. The county coroner later said she died from the toxic effects of several drugs, including fentanyl, and her autopsy showed no signs of trauma.
Panettiere had spoken openly about her struggles with addiction during a career that began in childhood and made her a household name. It remains unclear whether a separate federal inquiry into the circumstances of her death has also ended.
Police said their conclusion followed the medical examiner's findings, bringing the local investigation to a close more than two months after her death.
