Overnight curfews announced in parts of Paris and Nice after riots across France
Overnight curfews have been imposed in Paris, Nice, Lyon and other French cities after a weekend of rioting in which around 3,000 stores were looted or vandalised.

France has imposed overnight curfews in parts of Paris, Nice, Lyon and several northern cities, as the government tries to bring a weekend of rioting under control.
In Paris, movement is banned in central areas from 11pm until 6am, and gatherings are also prohibited overnight. In Nice, young people must stay indoors from 9pm every night until Sunday.
The prime minister gave mayors the power to set the curfews after around 3,000 stores were looted or vandalised during the unrest, which has spread across multiple cities.
Officials say the measures are temporary and aimed at preventing further violence and looting while police work to restore order on the streets.
