Iran trying harder to target US personnel in Middle East, intelligence chief warns
America's intelligence chief has warned that Iran has sharply increased its efforts to target United States personnel across the Middle East and beyond, as Washington adjusts staffing at embassies in the region.

America's intelligence chief has warned that Iran has sharply increased its efforts to target United States personnel across the Middle East and beyond.
The warning came in a memo to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as Washington adjusts staffing at diplomatic posts in the region. Earlier this week, non-emergency staff were ordered out of Saudi Arabia.
That move followed escalating attacks by Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis against Saudi Arabia in the past month. At least twenty one people have been killed in attacks on Saudi airports since October began, according to Saudi authorities.
One missile strike on Riyadh's international airport on October tenth killed thirteen people and injured more than three hundred, the deadliest attack in Saudi Arabia in more than a decade. The Houthis say their attacks are retaliation for what they call a Saudi blockade and an air strike on Sanaa airport.
