A Saudi engineer has been charged after a hidden listening device was discovered inside an executive conference room at OpenAI.
Staff found the device behind a television, wrapped in toilet paper and plugged into a USB port. The company says its own artificial intelligence helped work out who planted it, and the FBI made an arrest.
If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison. He is presumed innocent, and the case is now before the courts.
