Ukraine says Starlink still restricted after Trump says limits lifted
Ukraine's defence ministry says Starlink and Starshield are still restricted despite Donald Trump claiming Elon Musk reversed the limits, with attack drones losing connection at one hundred miles an hour.

Kyiv's defence ministry says Ukraine is still recording problems with the Starlink and Starshield satellite networks, despite Donald Trump claiming Elon Musk had reversed the limits on them.
Sources in the ministry said instances of drones losing their connection at speeds of one hundred miles an hour were being recorded, hampering military operations and coordination on the battlefield. There was, they said, no confirmation that the restrictions had been lifted.
Trump had denied instructing Musk to restrict the networks before saying the limits had been put back. Musk had previously said Starshield was controlled by the US military, while the White House repeatedly denied deliberately limiting the service in Ukraine.
One Ukrainian soldier told the BBC there was simply no alternative to Starshield, warning that losing the network would be an absolute catastrophe.
